The Level 4 Award in Preparing for the Mentoring Role (RQF) is an online distance learning course aimed at individuals who wish to work within a mentoring role.
The qualification will provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to work in the role of
mentor effectively and ethically, and to understand the various aspects and contexts of
mentoring.
You must be a minimum of 19 years of age on the day of registration.
Your course is delivered online, therefore, internet access is required.
The qualification on average takes 2- 6 weeks to complete, but this is dependent on your availability to dedicate time to studying and completing the worksheet.
At present, the registration period which is set by the Awarding Organisation for this qualification is 1 year. You will have 1 year to complete the qualification. You can re-register as long as your registration is still “live”. You will be sent an invoice for the fee which is set by Footstep Training. If you fail to pay within 14 days or your course expires you will need to pay the full course fee again which will be the current price on the website.
This is a theoretical qualification that is assessed via a worksheet. You will answer a series of questions to show your knowledge and understanding of:
Outcome 1 – Your own role and responsibilities in relation to the mentoring role
Outcome 2 – The use of mentoring in a specific context
Outcome 3 – How to identify client goals and outcomes
Upon completion you will receive a recognised qualification and certificate that is accredited by Future Awards and Qualifications (Future Quals)
