Do you teach First Aid or NPLQ's? Then you NEED to read this! | | - | Footstep Training

Due to the changes with the HSE, if you teach/assess First Aid or the NPLQ then you now require a formal teaching qualification.

Why?

The government commissioned an independent review of  qualifications of this nature and found that employers need more choice in terms of who they use to train their staff. This led to the HSE losing the complete control of First Aid and similar courses such as the NPLQ, and allowed other Awarding Organisations, and therefore Training Providers, to offer these qualifications. Due to this, the Awarding Organisations who Certificate these qualifications require all teachers/tutors/trainers to gain a formal, generic teaching qualification.

The minimum accepted qualification is the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

They have agreed a phased approach and trainers must achieve this qualification or a higher level by 2015.

If you want to get a head start in the industry and take advantage of our highly competitive prices, contact Footstep Training by clicking here to enrol on our online distance learning course to achieve your Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
