Over the last few weeks, we have looked at how different roles in your organisation can ensure that digital leaders of the future are recruited and retained. This week let’s look at how we as leaders can support our own development in this increasingly digital world of work.
- Take time to reflect on your experience. Be open to learning from others and recognise what might have worked in the past will not necessarily fit our new future.
- Develop your ability as a systems leader. Recognise that colleagues in other parts of the system may be in a better position to lead on certain initiatives.
- Seek out opportunities to shadow others, particularly in digitally experienced partner organisations.
- Use reverse mentoring to pair up with younger, digitally fluent employees.
